Scotchbrite wheels are excellent for polishing mouthguard material and to polish other surfaces without ruining delicate anatomical surfaces on dental appliances.
By using low speeds – around 5,000 rpm – and light pressure the acrylic should not overheat.
Options Available:
Gold/Brown - Rough wheel has the strongest abrasion, excellent for finishing soft liner acrylics.
Red/Purple - Fine grained leaves a silk matte surface.
Black - Medium abrasion
